A Printer That Removes Ink

Scientists have created a printer which can, using lasers, remove ink off of previously printed paper - to be reused. Green laser passes through the paper's cellulose while vaporizing the ink.

Aside from never having to buy paper again, "unprinting" is a more "green" method than recycling which also uses more electricity, CO2 output, and fresh water.

Man Made Lightning

Researchers used lasers to generate lightning. It was suggested 30 years ago but lasers weren’t strong enough then.

As of now, the electrical channels don’t last long enough to bring lightning to earth.
